Let's get GRADE 2 up and moving!

During Guidance class this month, we have been learning all about Kelso's Choices! In grade 2, we have really tried to focus on the difference between BIG problems and small problems. Sometimes it is hard to know if the problem is really a big problem or not!

  • A BIG problem is a problem that you need an adult's help with. You can know if it is a big problem if someone is hurt, sick, in danger, or making an unsafe choice.
  • A small problem is a problem that you can solve on your own. You can use Kelso's Choices to solve small problems!

In class, we used a review game called 'SCOOT' to help us see if we know the difference! Before class, I printed out 15 different problems and laminated them. Some of the problems were big problems, while others were small problems. The classes were split up into partners and were given a number to start with! Then each time the 'gong' sounded, the students were to move to the next number.

Check out some of the pictures of the activity below!
